History
W.J. Grosvenor & Co., Inc. has a long history of service to the
construction and finishing trades in
Bernard S. McHugh, the father of Chairman Emeritus Joseph R.
McHugh and the grandfather of current President and CEO Bernard J. McHugh,
began working at W.J. Grosvenor & Co., Inc. in 1912. When Mr.
Grosvenor passed away in 1930, Mr. McHugh purchased the company and it has been
a family run business ever since. The company has gone through many changes
over the past 97 years and is now one of the major distributors of flooring supplies,
tools, and accessories in the Northeast.
W.J. Grosvenor & Co. has grown significantly over the
past 3 years, adding 3 new branches and bringing our total presence in the
Northeast to 11 locations. We are proud to stock products from the most
prominent names in flooring supplies in all our stores and warehouses :
Johnsonite, Silpro, Mapei, Aim, Parabond, Crain, Orcon, Gundlach, Carder Tools,
QEP/Roberts, Futura, Trax, Duo-Fast, and Leggett & Platt, just to name a
few.
