Butch Mixon - Manchester, NH Branch Manager

Butch had been working for a roofing company and was tired of falling behind on his bills every winter.  In the spring of 1985 he learned that W.J. Grosvenor's was looking for a driver, so he came in to talk with Bernie McHugh, and started working for Grosvenor's the following week.  He began driving our company truck out of our original warehouse in Medford, getting lost in Boston became part of his normal routine.  At that time, the Billerica, Medford, and Brockton branches were well established and the Manchester branch had only opened the year before.  As time passed and Grosvenor's expanded with new branches and moved the offices and warehouse to a new combined Billerica branch and headquarters.  In 1999, Butch decided he wanted a change and gave sales a shot first assisting in Medford and becoming the branch manager of Manchester in 2001.

In his spare time, Butch enjoys whitewater kayaking, hiking, and rock climbing throughout the northeast.  He looks forward to building a post and beam log cabin in the woods of Vermont and trying to talk Grosvenor's into opening up a location just down the road a piece.  Anyone reading this is encouraged to mention how great it would be to have a store in Barre, VT.
